Taylor Darwin's work as an instructor of mathematics in Texas has previously focused on working with co-requisite students, where she leverages her past experience as a high school teacher to bring collaboration and student identity into the classroom. Currently, Taylor is working as a research associate at the University of Southern California, and her research focuses on underserved rural STEM educators’ curriculum development and professional learning. Through these efforts, Taylor has partnered with organizations such as the UT Dana Center and Lumen Learning to disseminate professional learning, particularly in mathematics. Taylor’s research has equally focused on underserved students in mathematics, and increasing their access to mathematical knowledge through technology, personalization, as well as amplifying their voices and experiences. Taylor holds degrees in mathematics, and curriculum and instruction (STEM emphasis).
