Specialization: Math

Rob has been teaching mathematics at Blinn College in Bryan, TX (next door to Texas A&M) since 2002.  During that time, he has taught all levels of classes, from basic mathematics classes at the prisons to Calculus 3 and Differential Equations.  Rob is known in the department for his writing projects and other writing questions.

Rob is also a member of cohort 2 of Project ACCCESS with AMATTC, and is a lifetime member of both AMATYC and the MAA.  Rob has served on many different committees for AMATYC, including the program review committee and currently the Student Mathematics League test creation committee.  Rob has also presented at least once at every AMATYC national conference since 2006, and has also presented in every IGNOTE session for AMATYC.

In the past, Rob has served on the Two Year Relations Committee for the MAA, and is currently working on a committee to expand membership in the MAA, and the META MATH project, a project designed to create assessments that help tie the material in college mathematics back to the mathematics covered in high school.

When Rob is not sharing the joys of mathematics with his students, he enjoys brewing his own beer and playing strategy games with his children.
