Mark L. Wilson, MPA
Specialization: Higher Education
Hello, I'm Mark Wilson, an audio-video creator based in northern Michigan. My journey is as diverse as the content I create, blending a background in tribal and local government with a unique perspective on higher education. Proudly enrolled as a member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, my connection to this tribal nation is the heartbeat of my identity. I've had the honor of serving as Vice Chair of the Grand Traverse Band, Tribal Council, contributing to the governance and growth of my community. Additionally, I've served as Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Traverse City.
My educational odyssey reflects a nontraditional path, navigating from a G.E.D. to achieving a master's degree in Public Administration. This transformation was made possible through community college opportunities, showcasing the power of accessible education in shaping one's future. As I tread this unique path, I've specialized in creating compelling content for various community-based organizations, fueled by a passion for storytelling. Through my work, I strive to bridge gaps, share stories, and amplify the voices of those often underrepresented.
